Everything you might want to know before booking.

If your question isn't here, send me a message — I'd rather answer it than have you guess.

Booking your appointment

Send me a WhatsApp with the service you'd like, your preferred day, and a photo of anything you've seen that you love. I'll confirm the time and send you my banking details for the deposit.

Weekday evenings from 17:30, and Saturdays and Sundays through the day. I keep a small number of slots each week so that every appointment gets the full time it needs — booking a week or two ahead is usually best.

Yes — R100, paid by EFT to secure your slot. It comes off the total on the day, so it isn't an extra cost.

A week is comfortable for a standard set. For bridal, matric dance or a group booking, give me three to four weeks so we can plan properly.

Message me. I'll wait where I can, but if we lose more than 20 minutes we may need to simplify the design to finish on time, or reschedule.

Just let me know as early as you can and I'll happily reschedule. Weekday appointments need 24h notice, and weekend appointments 48h— weekends are my busiest slots and I usually have someone who'd have taken it. Later than that, or if I arrive and we can't go ahead, the deposit is forfeited.

Coming to you

Not at the moment — I come to you. I bring my full setup with me: a table, professional and sterilized tools. Weekend appointments at my own space in Roseville area available by arrangement.

I work from two bases — Roseville and Elarduspark — and travel is calculated from whichever is closer to you. Within 10km is included, 10km to 20km is R120, and further afield I'll quote you. Between the two, that covers most of Pretoria and Centurion.

Very little. A firm table or desk with two chairs, a plug point nearby, and reasonable light. Somewhere safe to park, and two to three uninterrupted hours. That's it — everything else comes with me.

Tell me when you book and I'll bring my own. It's no trouble at all, I just need to know so I can pack it.

A gel polish or pedicure runs about 90 minutes. A full sculpted set is two to three hours, and detailed custom art can run longer. I'd rather take the time and get it right than rush the finish.

Yes. All my metal tools are sterilised between every client, files and buffers are either single-use or client-dedicated, and I work on a fresh, sanitised surface every time. If anything about my setup ever gives you pause, please ask — I'd genuinely rather show you.

The nails themselves

Gel polish on natural nails, gel overlays for strength, sculpted gel, infills, soak-offs, gel pedicures, and French Tips. Hands and feet, and everything from a quiet nude to full custom hand-painted art. See more on my Services & Pricing page.

No, I work in gel only. It's gentler on your natural nail, it flexes rather than cracking, and there's no smell — which matters when I'm working at your kitchen table. For length and strength, sculpted gel does everything acrylic does.

That's most of my clients. Bring pictures of anything you like — Pinterest, Instagram, a screenshot from a friend's post — and we'll work out what suits your nail shape, your hands and your life. If you'd rather I just decide, I'm very happy to.

Usually, yes, and I'll tell you honestly if I can't. Sometimes a design needs a longer nail or a different shape to work properly, and I'd rather adjust it with you beforehand than have you disappointed at the end.

Yes, and they're some of my favorite work. Bridal includes a consultation and a trial set beforehand so there are no surprises on the day. For matric dance, book early — that season fills up fast.

Absolutely, and it's very common. Extensions or an overlay give bitten nails something to grow under, and most clients find they stop biting once there's a set they don't want to ruin. There's no judgement here at all.

Yes, and doing both in one appointment is the most popular booking I take — it works out better than two separate visits.

Custom press-on sets are coming soon. If you'd like to be told when they're available, send me a message and I'll add you to the list.

Yes. Three or more people in one place is a lovely way to do it, and travel is included. Message me with numbers and a date and I'll put together a quote.

Looking after them

Gel polish lasts two to three weeks. Extensions and overlays need infills every two to three weeks as your natural nail grows out. With reasonable care, a well-structured set holds beautifully for that whole stretch.

Applied and removed properly, no. Damage comes from over-filing, and from picking sets off at home. I file as little as possible, and I remove everything by soaking rather than prying. If your nails need a break at any point, I'll tell you.

Message me and send a photo, and we'll sort it out. Repairs are R30 per nail plus travel. If it's clearly something on my side, I'll fix it at no charge — a photo just lets me tell the difference.

Please don't. Picking or peeling a set off takes layers of your natural nail with months to grow out. Book a soak-off and I'll take them off properly in about half an hour.

Wear gloves for dishes and cleaning, use cuticle oil daily, and treat them as jewels, no opening tins or scratching labels. Come back for infills before the regrowth gets too far along.

Yes, happily. Let me know when you book so I can allow the extra time, as it's charged separately from your new set.

Money and other practicalities

Full pricing is on the Services & Pricing page. Prices depend on length and how detailed the art is, so if you have something specific in mind, send me a picture and I'll quote you before you commit.

EFT or cash on the day, and the deposit by EFT beforehand. I'll send you my banking details when we confirm your slot.

Because I travel to you, mobile appointments have a minimum of R350. Anything below that is welcome — I'd just add a travel fee.

No. I do cosmetic nail care only. If I see anything that looks like an infection, a fungal problem an ingrown nail, I'll say so and recommend you see a doctor or podiatrist first — and I'd rather reschedule than work over a problem.

Not a problem at all — it's your home. I'd only ask that we can work at the table undisturbed for the couple of hours, since precision work and interruptions don't mix well.

I've been doing nails for years and working with clients for the past four, and I take the technical side seriously — structure, clean cuticle work and proper removal. My photo gallery is the honest record of that, and it's the best answer I can give you. I'm continuing to add formal certification as I grow.
